Discover Murcia

Do you want to  discover a new place?

This route consists in a 2-hour route through Murcia's historical centre.

We will be meeting in Murcia's Touristic Office at 11 a.m.

The first stop will be at Murcia's Cathedral. It is located in Cardenal Belluga Square which was built between the 15th century and the 18th century. Due to that, the cathedral has different artistic styles such as, Gothic, Renaissance, Barroque and Neoclassical.

Inside the cathedral, in the major chapel, it contains some remains of the king Alfonso X.

Next, it is Trapería Street. This is a commercial street which is connected with Santo Domingo Square.

In Santo Domingo Square we can see Santo Domingo's Church in a Barroque Style.

Afterwards, we will see the Romea Theatre, one of the most important theatres in Spain. It was opened by the queen Isabella II in 1862. Some important fact is that Federico García Lorca, one of the most important writers in Spain, played in the Theatre with his group, La Barraca.

Right after, we will see the Puente de los Peligros or Puente Viejo.

Finally, we will see the City Hall and the Glorieta España.
